The floriculture industry continues to show an upward trajectory despite its challenges. For example, COVID-19 halted the exportation of Kenyan products. Kenya’s arable land contributes 33 per cent of the country’s gross domestic product, with 65 per cent of the sector coming from export earnings. An estimated 1200 -2000 hectares are under flower cultivation in the floriculture industry.
Most flower exporters in Kenya are private companies that are either consolidators or farm owners. The government mainly provides regulations and policies. Here are some of the most notable flower exporters:
Founded in 2013 and formerly known as Rhema Agro, Rhema Flowers is a premium flower exporter in Kenya. The company helps source, consolidate, and deliver quality blooms to international wholesalers. Some of the common destinations for their fresh-cut roses worldwide include the UAE, the European Union, etc.
You can order wholesale fresh-cut flowers by calling or emailing us. Once you do so, our customer support team will process your order within 45 minutes to an hour. We will send you proforma invoices for the varieties you order.
Once you make your payment, the sourcing begins. We order the varieties from the farm and then coordinate when they arrive at the airport’s cold room. All our payments are received through bank account transactions or Western Union transfers.

Typically, when ordering flowers from the farm, the process has to be done early in the morning when it is still cool. Due to the temperature processes involved, no farm releases its petals any time of the day.
When the flowers arrive at the cold room, two processes take place. First, HCDA (Horticultural Crops Development Authority) inspects and clears the blooms. HCDA then clears the necessary documentation, which is the phytosanitary certificate.
Once the blooms HCDA clear for export, we pack them in cartons with holes for breathability. Then, logistics handles the shipping to your location.
During this process, we share all the documentation and a tracking link of the airline carrying the cargo to the client for transparency. Since 2013, Rhema Flowers has exported over 20 metric tonnes of flowers, with most of its customers from UAE and Europe.
